I am HEAD OVER HEELS in love with my Chewy pup! She is fantastic with my kids, plays very gently with them, and "babysits". It very common for her to shadow them wherever they go. My kids are 2 1/2 and 14 months, and they can climb all over her, pull her ears, stick their hands in her mouth, take her food away, whatever, and it never bothers her. She has NEVER EVER made a threatening move, or even look towards them.

We did have to find a cat a home because she was chewing on him, but I think it was the cat's issues. He could have easily slapped her or ran away, and he just let her drag him all around the yard. Our other cat is fine with her, she doesn't chase him, or hardly look at him because he lays down the law. He is not an overly aggressive cat, our other cat was just extremely passive.

Barking at night... The only barking she does at night is when there is something to bark at. For example, she set off the alarm at 3 am. The closer whatever it was got, the more concerned her bark was. I got up and shined the light outside, honked my car horn with the keyless entry a few times and went back to bed. I never said a word to her, and she was quiet the rest of the night. She does not bark out of boredom.

She DOES climb the fence, but it's not really her fault. It's just not tall enough in one spot for her, and she hops right over and goes and investigates the woods. We are moving tomorrow (if you have more questions and don't hear from me for a few days that's why) or I would change the yard and fix that. She currently does not dig out under the fence.

I absolutely LOVE this dog. She provides my family with so much peace of mind because I know she would do everything in her power to keep us safe. She is VERY bonded, I rarely have to call her to come out on walks, or when we go in the car. She is right there ready to do whatever we are doing. She has never been aggressive to a human, but I know she wouldn't hesitate if someone was hurting her babies. My father-in-law was throwing my youngest up in the air the other day and she stood just inches from him with her mouth half open looking at me like "is he ok, or should I stop this?" My daughter never acted afraid, so the dog didn't need to act, but she was on the edge of her seat ready.

I think I have given you a good idea of how we feel about our puppy. If you have any more questions just let me know.
